As a key member of our retail management team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing great people, and delivering on agreed actions.
This role offers a unique opportunity to work closely with our Talking Shop Rep to support and develop the skills of our team members. You will also play a key part in creating an inclusive culture where everyone can be their best.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service, has strong leadership skills, and is able to take a proactive approach to personal development and share knowledge to support up-skilling the team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Drive Business Growth: Have a clear focus on delivering great availability for customers
* Play an active role in store to sell and save, driving sales and improving customer experience
* Deliver on all agreed actions set by your line manager
* Develop Great People: Proactively support and work with the Talking Shop Rep
* Support team engagement and create an inclusive culture
* Take a proactive approach to personal development and share knowledge to support up-skilling the team
* Complete daily floor walks focusing on what the customer sees
* Follow and implement all cash handling and security policies & processes
* Provide the best digital service through implementing One Best Way processes
Requirements:
* Experience in retail management or supervisory role ideal but not essential
* Effective communication skills to deliver store tasks first time, every time
* Ability to plan and organise shifts using every member of the team
* Provision of balanced feedback to improve performance of colleagues
* Setting the pace of the team when on shift by being hands on
