The role of the Design Manager involves overseeing the technical design and submission process for projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budget.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the technical design and submission process, driving project success through strategic planning and execution.
* Conduct value engineering exercises to identify opportunities for financial optimization.
* Manage resource requirements and engage external consultants as necessary to support project delivery.
* Review designs and specifications to ensure compliance with relevant building regulations.
* Develop risk assessments and project plans using project management software.
* Create site-specific risk assessments and method statements to inform project execution.
* Maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, and contractors to ensure project expectations are met.
* Foster a culture of safe working practices and adherence to current Health and Safety legislation throughout the project lifecycle.
Requirements:
* BTEC in Building Studies or a related field is essential.
* A minimum of 5 years' experience in construction project management is required.
Package Details:
€65k - €85k dependent on relevant experience.
