Perch Café is expanding our kitchen team as we grow our breakfast, bakery, and grab-and-go offering. We are looking for a skilled, reliable Baker / Café Cook who can take ownership of our morning bakes, breakfast service, and daily prep.This is a key role for someone who loves structure, consistency, and creating high-quality food in a modern café environment.Role ResponsibilitiesMorning BakingPrepare daily bakes: sconesEnsure all products meet Perch quality standards in flavour, portioning, and presentation.Follow recipes accurately with consistent results.Breakfast ServiceCook a simple, high-quality breakfast menuSet up and maintain a clean, organised breakfast station.Support a smooth, fast morning service.Sandwich & Grab-and-Go PrepPrepare all sandwich fillings, sauces, salads, and ingredients for the day.Assemble high-quality sandwiches, wraps, and bowls.Ensure excellent freshness, hygiene, and stock rotation.Kitchen OrganisationKeep the kitchen clean, safe, and compliant with HACCP standards.Manage morning prep lists and communicate stock or ordering needs.Work efficiently and independently during early shifts.What We're Looking ForExperience as a baker, pastry chef, breakfast cook, or prep chef (1+ year ideal).Strong attention to detail and consistency.Ability to multitask and manage a structured morning workflow.A positive attitude and strong communication skills.Passionate about food quality and café-style cooking.What We OfferCompetitive hourly rate based on experience.Daytime hours (no late nights).A supportive and modern café environment.Opportunities to help shape new menu items and seasonal specials.Staff meals, coffees, and in-house perks.Job Types: Full-time, Part-timePay: €13.50-€18.00 per hourExpected hours: 30 – 40 per weekBenefits:Company pensionEmployee discountOn-site parkingWellness programWork Location: In person
