At a 5-star hotel, we are looking for a meeting and events coordinator to join our sales and events team.
About the Role
The successful candidate will coordinate events from proposal through to event fulfillment, communicating with hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout the pre-event, event, and post-event phases. This role is suitable for an outgoing individual with a proactive and detailed approach to hotel sales who enjoys working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage function space and room block inventory to maximize hotel revenue
* Ensure hotel and client fulfill group contractual commitments
* Recognize opportunities to enhance customer experiences by offering upgrades and additional services to create outstanding events
Requirements
* Strong command of the English language
* Previous experience in events at a 5-star hotel or equivalent relevant experience, at least 2 years preferable
* Excellent customer service skills
* Welcoming and friendly personality and manner
* Polished and professional demeanor at all times
