We are seeking a highly experienced microbiologist to join our global technical team, providing expert scientific and regulatory support to pharmaceutical clients worldwide. This role sits at the intersection of microbiology, quality, and commercial engagement—supporting the sales organization with deep technical insight while ensuring customers receive best in class guidance on compliance, investigations, and product performance.
You will be part of a highly respected group within the business, composed primarily of former industry microbiologists from leading organizations. This team plays a critical role in shaping customer success and driving strategic growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Up to 50% international travel
Serve as a technical subject‑matter expert to support the sales team during customer engagements, product discussions, and solution design
Provide scientific and regulatory guidance to global pharmaceutical clients across a wide range of microbiology‑related topics
Lead and participate in on‑site customer audits, technical assessments, and investigations
Support clients during regulatory inspections, offering expertise on compliance expectations, documentation, and remediation strategies
Manage multiple customer projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of technical support and follow‑up
Deliver high‑quality training sessions, workshops, and webinars to diverse audiences—including in‑person groups of 100+ and virtual audiences of 500+
Contribute to change management activities, helping clients adopt new technologies, processes, or regulatory requirements
Build strong, trust‑based relationships with customers, acting as a scientific ambassador for the organization
Collaborate closely with internal teams (sales, quality, product management, R&D) to ensure customer needs are met with precision and expertise
QUALIFICATIONS
Extensive experience as a microbiologist within the pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical industry
Strong understanding of global regulatory expectations (e.g., GMP, Annex 1, FDA, MHRA) and experience supporting audits or inspections
Proven ability to communicate complex scientific concepts clearly to both technical and non technical audiences
Confidence presenting to large groups in person and online
Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast paced, customer focused environment
Strong problem solving skills with a practical, hands on approach
A collaborative mindset and the ability to build strong relationships across internal and external stakeholders
