The R&D Tax team within EY is a highly successful group of tax and engineering specialists who work with a variety of high-profile clients. The team collaborates with cutting-edge companies currently performing R&D in Ireland and those investing in future R&D in Ireland.
The Opportunity: This role offers an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual with a background in corporate tax to join EY’s fast-growing R&D Tax practice. We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic tax senior manager to be part of a growing National practice. This role provides a unique opportunity to proactively contribute to growing the business.
Responsibilities
Facilitate application of Irish tax law and Irish Revenue guidelines to identify R&D costs eligible for tax relief.
Ensure high-quality delivery of advice and solutions to clients, with effective risk and reputation management.
Review R&D tax credit calculations to prepare claims for submission to Irish Revenue.
Manage multiple engagements, delegate and review work prepared by other team members.
Support the business in winning new clients through proposal preparation and delivery.
Produce project budgets and timetables that are efficient and cost-effective.
Manage the portfolio of R&D clients to ensure quality and adherence to risk management procedures.
Monitor work in progress and ensure timely issue of all fees.
Lead or contribute as an effective project team member, using strong communication skills and collaborating with team members of varying technical skill sets.
Person
Excellent report writing, communication, interview skills and presenting ability.
Excellent business development skills with the ability to identify and convert opportunities; proven success in developing significant relationships.
Strong, broad corporate tax knowledge.
Ideally suited to candidates with a professional services background (Big 4, mid-tier or consulting firms).
Irish Taxation Institute qualification is a must.
Previous R&D tax knowledge is required for this role.
