EA First are excited to be partnering with a global organisation, who is seeking an experienced Financial Accountant to strengthen their Finance & Controlling team across EMEA. Reporting into the Finance Manager in Ireland, this is a fantastic opportunity to step into a pivotal role, supporting finance operations across EMEA, while being the key audit contact for all Irish entities.
We are supporting a leading global organisation based in Dublin, recruiting a Financial Accountant.
What you'll be doing:
* Leading the month-end close process for 3 operating sites, providing insightful variance analysis against budget and forecast
* Managing and developing the Finance Accounts Assistant
* Producing statutory accounts for 12 entities and overseeing yearly group/statutory audits
* Reconciling IFRS 16 entries, cash forecasts, intercompany balances, and treasury postings
* Managing fixed assets, Eurovat claims, and quarterly reconciliations
* Partnering with operations and other finance teams to ensure timely information flow
* Handling ad-hoc analysis, journal entries, CSO returns, and other finance duties as required
What we're looking for:
* A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA)
* Currently working in a busy financial accounting role
* Strong communicator with the ability to build relationships at all levels
* Experience in a large practice is desirable
* Proficiency with Excel; SAP or Oracle experience is a plus
* A proactive, flexible mindset and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
* Hybrid working - home and office (Dublin)
* Exposure to a global organisation with broad responsibilities across multiple entities
