Job Opportunity: We are seeking a Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of health, safety, and environmental management within the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Liaise with project managers and contracts managers to ensure effective communication and coordination of health, safety, and environmental activities.
* Manage, update, and maintain company health and safety policies and procedures.
* Develop and implement health and safety plans for each project, highlighting specific requirements and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
* Coordinate all health and safety activities on various sites, including site visits and inspections.
* Manage and coordinate health and safety officers and advisors, maintaining clear lines of communication and ensuring that regular site visits and inspections are completed.
* Investigate accidents and incidents, implementing action plans to prevent future occurrences.
* Liaise with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with health and safety processes.
* Prepare and coordinate training for employees, ensuring they are up-to-date with relevant health and safety information.
* Attend meetings with senior management and site meetings, chairing health and safety meetings as required.
Requirements:
* BSc in Health and Safety or equivalent qualification.
* At least 5 years of experience in the construction industry, with a proven track record of managing health and safety teams.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* In-depth knowledge of Irish health and safety legislation.
* Pro-active and self-motivated, with a commitment to continuous improvement.
* Confident in the use of Microsoft Office and other software applications.
* Full driving license.
