A leading international engineering consultancy is seeking a Principal Electrical Engineer to join its growing Dublin team. This is a senior leadership role focused on delivering complex, high-value projects while mentoring engineers and shaping technical excellence across the business.
You will lead electrical design delivery across multiple sectors, act as a key client interface, and contribute to strategic project and business outcomes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the delivery of electrical design on major projects from concept through to completion
Act as technical authority across LV, MV, and HV systems
Manage and mentor multidisciplinary engineering teams
Oversee design quality, compliance, and project standards
Engage directly with clients, stakeholders, and external partners
Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation
Support business development, including bid and tender preparation
Coordinate with utilities and oversee power infrastructure upgrades
KEY PROJECTS
You will play a leading role across a range of high-profile developments, including:
Large-scale data centre campus – full electrical infrastructure design including HV distribution, resilience strategy, and coordination studies
Healthcare / life sciences facility – technically complex design with critical systems, compliance, and redundancy requirements
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
8–12+ years’ experience within building services / data centre / infrastructure design
Proven experience operating at Senior or Principal Engineer level
Strong background in LV, MV, and HV electrical design
Chartership (or working towards) highly desirable
Experience with industry software such as Amtech, ETAP, Dialux/Relux
