Our client, based in Cork, requires a Health and Safety manager.
This is a brand new role for this large, multi site company.
It will be a stand alone Health and Safety manager job looking after the H&S for 170 staff across 4 sites.
This H&S manager will report in to the MD.

The Health & Safety Manager will shape and embed a robust health and safety culture across the business and be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining a comprehensive health and safety function from the ground up.
Your duties will include: Lead the development and implementation of a Group Health & Safety strategy.
(Using the ISO45001 framework).
Conduct risk assessments, develop safe systems of work, and ensure compliance with legislation and industry best practice.
Monitor and improve site safety in relation to vehicle movement, pedestrian safety, storage practices, and space management.
Maintain and regularly update H&S documentation, including policies, procedures, and risk registers.
Liaise with external agencies, auditors, insurance companies, and regulatory bodies as required.
Promote a proactive safety culture by engaging and training staff at all levels to drive awareness and accountability.
Do you have 5 years' experience in a similar Health & Safety role, ideally within distribution, logistics, warehousing, or manufacturing? (Familiarity with transport safety, vehicle/pedestrian segregation, and warehousing environments) Do you have a Relevant Health & Safety qualification (e.g.
Higher Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, IOSH, or equivalent)? Are you proficient in Microsoft Office and health and safety reporting software? Do you have a full driving license and willingness to travel to various sites? Do you have experience managing H&S across multiple sites? Are you a Self-starter with the ability to work autonomously in a stand-alone role?
