Maintenance Equipment Specialist
Key responsibilities include developing and implementing preventative maintenance schedules for equipment and plant, collaborating with the maintenance manager.
Routine maintenance tasks are carried out, identifying recurring issues and providing feedback to the maintenance manager. Breakdowns are responded to promptly, following safety guidelines to optimize production efficiency.
Collaboration with contractors and external service technicians is required. Training on new equipment and participation in site meetings, engineering reviews, and audits are also essential.
To be successful as a Maintenance Technician you will require relevant mechanical qualifications or experience, including pneumatics and hydraulics. Electrical qualifications or experience, focusing on PCBs, PLCs, and instrumentation are also essential.
Prior experience in a food facility is desirable but not mandatory. Adherence to health and safety standards is critical, reporting any unsafe conditions or near misses. Ensuring adherence to industry regulations and standards is also a key requirement.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent problem-solving skills, be proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. They will also have a strong understanding of maintenance procedures and protocols.
