Senior Data Scientist – Gen AI (Contract)
Location: Dublin (Hybrid)
Duration: 6 months (Strong likelihood of extension)
We are seeking an experienced Senior Data Scientist to join a leading AI Software House in Ireland.
You will be working on a high-impact project developing a next-generation procurement system.
This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in AI and Gen AI within a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI solutions in a production setting.
Build and optimise machine learning models, with a focus on large‑scale datasets and Gen AI applications.
Collaborate closely with data engineering, product, and customer stakeholders to deliver actionable solutions.
Apply strong data science methodologies across the full lifecycle: requirements, design, implementation, testing, deployment, and reporting.
Leverage Databricks for scalable model development and deployment.
About You
8+ years' experience as a Data Scientist with a strong record of implementing AI in production systems.
Ideally 1+ year experience in Gen AI (LLMs, RAG, or related applications).
Solid experience with Databricks (heavily prioritised).
Excellent communicator, able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Strong background in Python (pandas, numpy, scikit‑learn, scipy) and modern ML techniques.
Proven ability to work independently while collaborating in cross‑functional teams.
