Director of Studies – Young Learner Summer ProgrammeEnglish Path is a fast-growing international language school delivering high-quality English language programmes across the UK, Europe, North America and the Middle East.We are currently seeking an experienced Director of Studies to lead the academic delivery of our Young Learner Summer (Fixed Term) Programme in Dublin. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced academic leader to oversee teaching quality, support and develop teachers, and ensure students receive an engaging and rewarding learning experience.About the RoleAs Director of Studies, you will be responsible for the smooth running of the academic programme at the summer centre. You will lead the teaching team, ensure the delivery of high-quality lessons aligned with the English Path curriculum, and oversee all academic administration.Working closely with the Global Head of Academics and operational teams, you will play a key role in creating a positive learning environment and ensuring student satisfaction throughout the programme.Key ResponsibilitiesAcademic LeadershipOversee the delivery of the academic programme and curriculumSupport and promote the academic values of English PathEnsure teachers deliver engaging lessons aligned with programme learning outcomesConduct teacher observations and provide constructive feedbackDeliver weekly teacher development and training sessions (CPD)Team ManagementLead and support the teaching team to maintain high teaching standardsProvide coaching, feedback and development plans where necessaryOrganise teacher inductions and ongoing supportManage teacher schedules, timetables and classroom allocationAcademic AdministrationMonitor attendance records and academic documentationEnsure progress reports and certificates are completedManage teacher timesheets and staff schedulesOrganise cover for teacher absence where requiredProvide weekly academic reports to senior leadershipStudent Experience & SafeguardingEnsure students receive a positive and supportive learning experienceProvide academic guidance to students and Group Leaders where neededPromote safeguarding and student welfare across the centreWork collaboratively with centre management and operational teams to ensure safe programme deliveryQualificationsTEFLQ qualification (DELTA, DipTESOL or equivalent)Minimum 5 years teaching experience, including teaching teenagersExperience managing teachers in a language school or summer school environmentStrong understanding of TEFL methodology in multilingual classroomsExcellent organisational and academic administration skillsStrong communication and leadership abilityExperience conducting teacher observations and delivering CPDExperience working in Young Learner or Summer School programmesExperience with academic timetabling and programme coordinationFamiliarity with classroom technology and digital learning toolsExperience advising students on IELTS, Cambridge exams or further education pathwaysWorking HoursSummer centre management staff work up to 30 hours per week across 5 days, depending on operational requirements.SafeguardingEnglish Path is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and vulnerable adults.
