Lead Data Engineer Contract, Global Payments Dublin Don't miss out on this great opportunity to work with a leading global Payments organization in Dublin Role and Responsibilities: We are seeking a experienced, innovative, Data Engineer to work with a team of engineers to fight against money laundering and fraud by powering advanced analytics and financial crime detection by building resilient, governed, high-quality data platforms What's involved: You will help lead the team and design, build, optimisation, and support of scalable Spark / Py Spark data pipelines on Databricks (Batch + Streaming).
Leverage data ingestion frameworks (Apache Ni Fi, SFTP/FTPS, API)Implement orchestration using Airflow, Databricks Workflows Embed lineage & metadata Drive CI/CD for data assetsversioning, semantic tagging, environment promotion).
Mentor engineers on distributed data performance, partitioning, file layout (Delta Lake optimization), caching, and cost/perf trade‑offs.
Review code Support incident response (root cause, postmortems, preventative engineering).
Hybrid role; office attendance per Mastercard policy.
