You'll have the chance to work closely with the Group Financial Controller and CFO, gaining valuable exposure and insight while being part of an organisation during an exciting period of progress.As Group Financial Accountant, you will join the Group Finance team and take the perfect step for an ambitious accountant looking to build their career in a dynamic, high-profile organisation.Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will play a pivotal role in delivering accurate and timely consolidated financial reporting for the Group, while supporting strategic decision-making, financial controls, and finance transformation initiatives.This role is ideally suited to a qualified accountant with some post-qualification experience,gained in practice or within a Group Finance environment.Key ResponsibilitiesGroup Financial ReportingPrepare month-end balance sheet reconciliations and analysisDeliver month-end close tasks and provide commentary on key movementsSupport year-end close and consolidated reportingTechnical Accounting & ComplianceEnsure compliance with IFRS and group accounting policiesResearch and implement new accounting standardsPrepare technical accounting papers and support external auditsFinancial Controls & GovernanceSupport the design and implementation of strong group-wide financial controls.Review subsidiary balance sheets and reconciliationsSupport intercompany accounting, reconciliations and eliminationsBudgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisAssist with group budgeting and forecasting cyclesProvide insight and analysis on group performanceSupport financial modelling and business planningTreasury, Tax & ProjectsAssist with group cash flow reporting and forecastingSupport tax compliance across all tax headsContribute to finance transformation, systems implementation and process improvements.Provide financial analysis and strategic input to senior stakeholdersSupport key strategic and governance projectsSuitable candidates ideally will possess;Qualified accountant (recognised professional body) with minimum 12 months + PQEStrong analytical and commercial acumenExcellent communication and presentation skillsAdvanced Excel and data analysis capabilityHighly motivated, deadline-driven, and detail-orientedExperience with financial systems and process improvement is an advantage
