A well known PLC organisation in North Dublin (three days office) is looking to hire a Financial Controller on a permanent basis. Salary is circa €95,000 - €100,000 DOE plus bonus, benefits and 25 days annual leave. In this role you will work closely with the Finance Director and be responsible for the day to day financial and commercial aspects while also supporting a medium sized time.
Key responsibilities of the Financial Controller
* Provide commentary - including monthly accounts, commentary and board packs, explaining variances to budget and forecast, and challenging assumptions.
* Provide Business Analysis to improve processes and performance.
* Support month-end and year-end close process including submission of group reporting within strict deadlines.
* Maintain proper and effective internal financial controls in accordance with the group finance policy and procedure manual.
* Act as a Key Business Partner for finance
* Assist the Finance Director with the overall smooth running of the finance function across procurement, payroll, AR and AP.
Key requirements of the Financial Controller
* Qualified Accountant 5+ years PQE in a management role.
* A mix of practice and industry experience is an advantage.
* Excellent communications skills and ability to Business Partner.
* Effective communicator with excellent influencing/collaboration skills and teamwork mindset.
* Strong IT Skills - Microsoft office, particularly Excel.
