Maintenance Operative – Bantry, Co. Cork – Part Time
We are looking for a dedicated Maintenance Operative to support our school environment. This role is part‑time, 30 hours per week, and pays €14.15 per hour. Working Monday to Friday evenings until 10:30pm and some Saturdays from 9am to 5pm.
What You’ll Do
* Brighten the school’s shared spaces.
* Complete daily cleaning and caretaking tasks.
* Assist with the upkeep and maintenance of the premises.
* Conduct water management tasks (e.g., temperature checks, flushing taps).
* Perform scheduled maintenance checks (weekly, monthly, quarterly).
What You’ll Bring
* Experience in cleaning and/or caretaking roles.
* Understanding of health & safety, hygiene, and COSHH regulations.
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
* Good communication and customer service skills.
* Flexible, reliable, and proactive approach to work.
* Physically fit to carry out manual tasks.
* IT literacy (basic use of email and reporting tools) is an advantage.
