BAM is looking for a Senior Project HSE Advisor to join our team on a project in Cork.

Responsibilities
* Promote safe working practices and ensure the implementation of company HSE policy and procedures on site.
* Carry out regular site HSE inspections and report findings to relevant personnel.
* Ensure the project has the relevant HSE documentation and that HSE project plans meet company standards.
* Discuss HSE issues at project review meetings and maintain records to comply with internal and external audit standards.
* Assist project management and sub-contractor teams with risk assessments, sub-contractor evaluations, and documentation reviews.
* Deliver HSE training as appropriate and agreed with the Project Manager.
* Suggest and promote initiatives for incident prevention and forward them for consideration by the Project Manager / HSE & Sustainability Manager.
* Support the Project Manager in incident investigations and stay up to date on HSE legislation and best practice.
* Promote BAM HSE ethos and become a role model for safe behaviour.
* Attend relevant HSE meetings, prepare HSE reports, and identify ideas for HSE improvement for consideration by the project team.
* Assist managers with safety and environmental submissions, risk assessments, and vendor evaluations when requested.
* Liaise with relevant legal authorities as needed and be aware of all legal requirements, especially regarding the PSCS role and duties.

What do you bring to the role?
* Level 8 qualification in health and safety.
* 6 years postgraduate experience in project HSE management.
* Experience as a Project HSE Advisor.
* Thorough knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001.
* Graduate membership of IOSH.
* Ability to advise up to operations director level on complex health and safety issues.
* Ability to deliver internal HSE training and write in-depth reports.
Desirable
* Qualification in environmental management.
* Lead auditor qualification.
