Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Engineer to join our technical team.
You will take a lead role in site assessments, detailed technical investigations, and engineering solutions for power systems, earthing/grounding infrastructure, and communications systems at remote monitoring stations.
This role combines international fieldwork with technical design and client liaison.
Key Responsibilities Conduct on-site assessments of power systems (generators, solar arrays, battery banks, distribution systems, backup power solutions)Design and assess grounding and earthing systems, including earth resistance testing and lightning protection Evaluate communications systems (RF intra-site communications, fibre optic links, cellular modems, satellite systems)Develop detailed technical reports, cost estimates, and engineering designs Manage site visits and coordinate with local contractors and suppliers Produce as-built drawings, specifications, and O&M documentation Ensure compliance with international standards (IEC60364, IEC62305)Liaise with clients and stakeholders to deliver quality outcomes Required Experience & Qualifications3–5 years' professional experience in electrical engineering or a closely related discipline Chartered Engineer (CEng/CENG) status preferred Proven experience in power systems design and assessment (generators, renewables, battery storage)Strong grounding and earthing design knowledge Working knowledge of communications systems (RF, fibre, cellular, satellite) advantageous Proficiency in Auto CAD or similar technical software Strong technical reporting and documentation skills Essential Attributes Willingness to travel approximately 20 weeks per year to international and remote locations Flexibility to work in challenging field conditions Strong technical judgment and problem-solving ability High attention to detail Good health and physical fitness for site-based work What We Offer Competitive salary commensurate with experience Professional development opportunities Exposure to diverse international projects Collaborative and technically focused team environment Travel Requirements This role requires availability to travel approximately 20 weeks per year, with typical site visits lasting 3–7 days.
