Key Responsibilities as Project Engineer
* Responsible for supporting the Contracts Manager with the day to day running of the project.
* Liaising with any consultants, subcontractors, supervisors, planners, quantity surveyors and the general workforce involved in the project.
* Reviewing detailed design, critique and communicate with designers to ensure adequate design is available for construction.
* Coordinating the development of design from designer's details to approved workshop drawings or technical information from subcontractors.
* Reading & interpreting drawings for layouts, materials measure etc.
* Planning works in an efficient manner to ensure program targets are achieved.
* Ordering and control of materials on site.
* Maintaining the site records and records of discussions/meetings with designers and subcontractors.
* Accuracy in carrying out duties, elimination of re-work and contractual awareness.
* Checking plans, drawings and supervision of setting out coordination.
* As Project Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out and levelling of sites.
* The Project Engineer will resolve unexpected technical difficulties and you will deal with any problems which arise.
* Attending regular meetings with clients, architects and consultants, and keeping them informed of progress.
* Quality management and BCAR co-ordination
* Overseeing quality control and safety matters on the site and ensuring that regulations are adhered to.
* Supervising direct staff and sub-contractors.
* Handle technical queries when necessary and interface with the client, consultant and architect with regards to RFI's.
Qualifications/Experience:
* Engineering Degree with a minimum of three years experience in a similar role
* Client/Consultant interface with regards to RFI's etc.
* Confident in supervising site works
* Team player with ability to build effective relationships at all levels.
