We are seeking a Health, Safety & Compliance Officer to join a leading manufacturing company based near Croom, Co. Limerick. Due to continued growth, they are now looking to add a dedicated professional to oversee health and safety processes, internal audits, and continuous improvement initiatives across their operations.
Responsibilities
The Health, Safety & Compliance Officer will play a key role in ensuring that all site activities are carried out in accordance with company, legal, and regulatory standards. Main duties include:
1. Implementing and maintaining Health & Safety management systems in line with statutory requirements and company policies;
2. Conducting regular site inspections, risk assessments, and internal audits to ensure ongoing compliance and identify areas for improvement;
3. Supporting management and staff through training, guidance, and the promotion of a strong safety culture across all departments;
4. Investigating incidents and near misses, preparing reports, and driving corrective and preventive actions;
5. Maintaining accurate safety and audit documentation, records, and reports for both internal and external review;
6. Assisting in the development and implementation of ISO and other compliance frameworks;
7. Collaborating with department heads to review and update standard operating procedures (SOP's) and ensure adherence to best practices.

Criteria
16. Relevant qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management, or a related discipline;
17. Proven experience in health and safety management, ideally within a manufacturing, construction, or industrial environment;
18. Experience conducting internal audits (ISO 45001, ISO 9001, or similar) is essential;
19. Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation and best practices.
20. Excellent attention to detail, organisational, and communication skills;
21. Ability to influence, engage, and promote a proactive safety culture across teams;
22. Confident in using MS Office and safety management systems.
