About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Electrician to support the installation, maintenance, and fault‑finding of electrical systems across our operational sites. You will work on production‑critical machinery and infrastructure, supporting continuous operations while ensuring the highest safety and compliance standards are maintained.
Key Responsibilities
Install, commission, and align electrical systems, machinery, and equipment
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive electrical repairs
Diagnose and rectify electrical faults to minimise downtime
Work on industrial production equipment, including motors, VSDs, PLC‑controlled systems, contactors, and instrumentation
Support mechanical breakdowns where required and work collaboratively with mechanical teams
Ensure all work complies with electrical safety standards, site procedures, and legislation
Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, and inspections
Handle materials, components, and tools safely and efficiently
Work closely with Engineers, Supervisors, and Site Management to improve reliability and performance
Participate in a weekend on‑call rota as required
What We’re Looking For
FETAC Level 6 qualification or equivalent in Electrical Engineering / Electrical Trade
Minimum 2 years post‑apprenticeship experience
National Trade Certificate / Trade Card
Proven experience working on industrial sites or production environments
Strong technical knowledge of:
Motors, contactors, VSDs
PLC‑controlled systems
Industrial wiring, containment, instrumentation, starters, and temporary installations
An interest in mechanical systems and the ability to support mechanical breakdowns
MEWP experience is advantageous (training can be provided)
Full driving licence and own transport advantageous
Fluent English
Flexible and willing to participate in a weekend shift rota
