Position Summary
The Department of Sociology and Criminology is recruiting for a Post‑Doctoral Researcher to work on the large-scale study MIGDIS, which examines the experiences of border crossing and the technologies migrants use after crossing to construct a home. The researcher will work with the Principal Investigator to collect data, conduct ethnographic fieldwork in Turkey (Van city) and Ireland (Dublin), and analyse and write up results for peer‑reviewed journal publication. Additional duties may include preparing reports and performing minor administrative tasks.

Career Development
Progression to Senior Post‑Doc is transferable within Irish HEIs and aligns with the PD scheme’s intergenerational training framework.
