Senior / Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant – Dublin or Cork (Hybrid)
We're seeking a
Senior or Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant
to join our clients well-established team in Dublin or Cork on a hybrid basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a highly experienced group of professionals on a diverse range of projects including large-scale brownfield developments, landfill investigations, contaminated land assessments, renewable energy schemes, and hydrogeology-focused projects such as long-term monitoring and modelling.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide technical leadership, guidance, and review across Contaminated Land and Hydrogeology projects.
* Manage projects from inception to completion, including budgeting, resourcing, technical oversight, and client communication.
* Design and manage a variety of geo-environmental site investigations and monitoring programmes.
* Prepare and review technical reports including PSA, GQRA, and DQRA.
* Mentor and support junior team members in their professional development.
* Support the Associate Director with recruitment planning and financial reporting.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships to support ongoing business growth.
* Manage tender responses and contribute to proposal development.
Person Specification:
* Degree qualified (BSc) in Geology or a related environmental discipline.
* MSc in Geology, Hydrogeology, or Contaminated Land desirable but not essential.
* Minimum 4+ years' experience for Senior level and 8+ years' for Principal level roles.
* Ideally chartered or actively working towards chartership with a relevant professional body.
* Proven project management experience delivering Contaminated Land or Hydrogeology projects.
* Strong analytical skills with sound understanding of laboratory testing and data interpretation.
* Excellent report writing and review capabilities.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Commercially aware with the ability to develop and maintain client relationships.
* Motivated self-starter able to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
