Position Summary:

This specialist role will have an extensive expertise in IT infrastructure, spanning systems, networks, and enterprise applications, with a strong emphasis on both Windows and Linux environments. The ideal candidate will be adept at managing cloud platforms, particularly MS Azure, and skilled in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Bash, and/or Python. Responsibilities include supporting, maintaining, and optimising complex IT environments, ensuring data security and compliance, and providing third-level technical support. Highly effective communication, strong analytical skills, and a proven ability to drive technical projects to completion are essential. Experience with backup and recovery, system monitoring, and the administration of business-critical applications is fundamental to this position.

This a hands-on role that requires deep technical knowledge, good level of autonomy and ability to solve complex problems. The role will also involve in supporting day to day IT Operations.

Skill sets:

The candidate must also have the following skill sets:

* Strong understanding of IT infrastructure: systems, networks, and software applications.
* Strong people and issue management skills, practical knowledge of ITSM principles.
* Working knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems; able to use PowerShell, Bash, and / or Python for administration and automation.
* Experienced in MS Azure platform, able to plan, provision and manage Azure resources.
* Ability to understand, support and troubleshoot enterprise applications and cloud platforms, such as Microsoft 365, etc.
* Able to manage networking infrastructure: switches, routers, firewalls, Wi-Fi equipment
* A knowledge of IP networks: TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, etc.
* Experienced in Backup and Recovery, systems' monitoring, patching and upgrades.
* Knowledge of data security and integrity best practices, familiarity with relevant regulations and IT standards.
* Goal oriented and results driven with a strong desire to see tasks through to completion.
* Must be a highly effective communicator, with the ability to manage and implement necessary change, quickly and effectively, in a highly dynamic environment.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Detail-oriented and organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously while ensuring accuracy and meeting deadlines. Hands-on experience with technical projects.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Working knowledge of Desktop Operating systems including Windows 11, and Mac OS.
* Fluent English speaker
* Minimum of 5 years application and system administration experience.
* A recognized degree in Information Technology or Computer Science or equivalent experience.

Essential Requirements:

The organisation maintains a large portfolio of IT Systems, enterprise applications and services, customer interfaces, partner portals, business analytics and SAP ERP to support a high volume, high revenue business. The role includes:

* Installing, supporting, and maintaining IT infrastructure technologies, including but not limited to servers, storage, virtualized environments, telecommunication, local and wide area networks, firewalls, wireless and various peripheral equipment.

* Monitor and maintain stability and performance of production systems, both hardware and software. Troubleshoot systems and applications to identify and correct malfunctions, vulnerabilities, and other operational difficulties.
* Analyse and evaluate current IT systems and software to ensure they meet business requirements. Identify IT systems inefficiencies, recommend and implement appropriate solutions.
* Maintain system documentation and update as necessary.
* Prepare technical reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising information and trends, and then use this data to improve and system capabilities. Conduct regular system audits to ensure compliance and efficiency.
* Planning for and responding to service outages and other problems.
* Maintain physical and virtual servers including SAN, DHCP, DNS, VOIP and web applications.
* Perform system software upgrades and patching.
* Assist with networking and associated hardware configuration, and deployments.
* Business / Cloud applications support: Office 365, OKTA, Cisco UC, etc.
* Contribute to IT and Business Projects by assisting project teams with technical issues, technical analysis, systems design, and support of the IT infrastructure.
* Ensure data security and integrity across all IT systems, ensure the system adheres to company security standards.
* Provide third-level technical support for the end users.
* Contribute to monthly reports on IT service statistics.
* Act as an escalation point for IT incidents from triage to closure.
* Perform other related duties as assigned.
