Position: Full-Time Permanent Contract
St. Michael's House is recruiting a full-time, permanent Digital Communications Officer to support the development, management, and execution of their digital communication strategy. The successful candidate will be a confident communicator, knowledgeable in digital content creation for social media, websites, and e-newsletters, aligned with the organization’s vision, mission, and values. The role is based at St. Michaels House, Ballymun HQ, with potential start and finish locations at Coolock HQ or Goatstown HQ as directed by the line manager.
Grade V
Salary scale: €51,206 (point 1) to €61,253 (point 7) per annum, based on a 35-hour week. New appointees start at the minimum point, with incremental credits for relevant experience.
Minimum Requirements:
1. Degree in Communications, Digital Media, Public Relations, Journalism, or relevant field.
2. High standard of suitability and administrative ability.
3. At least 2 years experience in digital marketing, content creation, or communications role.
4. Proven ability to create and manage engaging digital content across various platforms.
5. Experience with social media tools (e.g., Meta Business Suite, LinkedIn), design tools (Canva, InDesign, Photoshop), email marketing (Mailchimp), website CMS, video editing, and multimedia content creation.
6. Strong administrative skills, including minute-taking and capturing key points and actions.
7. Proactive, flexible, collaborative approach, with a passion for the mission of St Michaels House.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience:
1. Education or CPD in disability, inclusion, or accessibility.
2. Experience in health and social care sectors.
3. Knowledge of SEO, Google Ads, and Google Analytics.
4. Strong writing, editing, storytelling skills, adaptable for different channels.
5. Experience with paid social media advertising.
6. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
