Background

Way 2 Work Ireland was founded in 2019 and operates as a company limited by guarantee (CLG). The organisation received charitable status in 2020.

Our mission is to support ambition and create potential life-fulfilling opportunities for all young people in Ireland regardless of privilege or background.

Purpose of the Role:

The Relationship Coordinator will work primarily with young people who have care experience and have been referred to Way 2 Work by Tusla. The core purpose of the role is to support these young people in accessing skills training, professional development, and employment opportunities such as work experience, apprenticeships, and full-time or part-time roles.

Way 2 Work takes a holistic, trauma-informed, and wrap-around approach, ensuring each young person has the best possible opportunity to succeed. This approach not only supports young people in securing employment but also helps reduce barriers and risks, giving them the best chance of sustaining long-term work. Full training in this approach will be provided.

A key aspect of this role involves building and maintaining relationships with local employers to create opportunities for progression into employment, apprenticeships, or further education.

While the Relationship Coordinator will primarily work with young people in care or aftercare, Way 2 Work also supports other cohorts through smaller projects. Depending on caseload and project needs, the successful candidate may be assigned young people from these additional programmes.
