Role Overview
The Hawthorn by Galway Bay is a new 5-star luxury hotel, spa, and golf resort opening on Ireland's west coast in 2026. We are seeking a dynamic and highly motivated Senior Marketing Executive to join our pre-opening team. Reporting to the Group Marketing Manager for Connacht Hospitality Group (CHG), you will play a pivotal role in bringing the brand to life, driving digital and offline marketing performance, and shaping the guest journey from launch to long-term success.
This is a hands-on role that blends digital expertise, creative flair, and commercial focus. You will coordinate the day-to-day marketing activity for The Hawthorn and also manage Galway Bay Golf as part of the wider umbrella brand - ensuring both properties are aligned on their journey to a shared 5-star positioning.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage all digital channels including website, social media, email, and liaise with the Digital Marketing Specialist on paid media activity.
* Oversee website content, updates, and UX optimisation in line with brand standards.
* Develop and deliver data-driven campaigns to maximise direct bookings and revenue.
* Monitor KPIs with GA4, For-Sight CRM, and Metasearch dashboards to optimise ROI.
* Act as brand guardian for The Hawthorn and Galway Bay Golf, ensuring consistent 5-star positioning across all communications.
* Collaborate with in-house design and marketing teams on branding, SEO, and campaign delivery.
* Liaise with photographers, videographers, and creative partners to produce premium assets.
* Coordinate photoshoots, influencer collaborations, and press visits to build awareness and credibility.
* Support event activations on-property in partnership with operational teams.
* Oversee the daily workflow of marketing activities, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with group objectives.
* Manage relationships with external PR and media agencies.
* Deliver regular reports on campaign performance, insights, and recommendations
Key Requirements
* Minimum 3+ years' experience in a senior hospitality marketing role, ideally in luxury hotels, resorts, or lifestyle brands.
* Proven ability to manage digital strategy including Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO, and CRM campaigns.
* Experience with hospitality systems such as Revinate, For-Sight, CMS, and spa/golf booking systems.
* Track record of managing photoshoots, content creation, and creative partners.
* Strong grasp of social media, website content management, and digital best practices.
* Familiarity with golf and spa markets is a distinct advantage.
* Experience with pre-opening hotels highly desirable.
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
* Exceptional communication skills with a strong eye for brand alignment and luxury standards.
* Collaborative, proactive, and comfortable liaising with senior leadership, agencies, and partners.
