Overview and Job Purpose (Senior Designer)
At Spotlight Oral Care our Senior Designer will join our new in-house design team and work across a diverse range of projects for our brands. The ideal candidate would have a degree in graphic design or industry equivalent and three to five years’ experience in lead designer roles or previous senior designer experience. You will have extensive agency or design studio background and a track record for producing concepts and design solutions that can be rolled out across multiple creative platforms.
You’ll have the ability and initiative to take control of briefs and help develop the creative, from concept through to final execution. You’ll be able to work within existing guidelines and develop designs suitable for a variety of applications across our shopper, marketing and advertising portfolio. You will have the confidence not only to lead not only your own project delivery but also work closely with our internal teams and external agencies on advising and suggesting creative approaches.
You will have a love of the creative process and be a driving force within our internal team, leading by example by being a catalyst behind creative brainstorm, design development and also engaging the creative team with your experience and insight.
Creative & Design Execution
Develop creative concepts for digital, print and advertising materials across our brand channels.
Produce high quality design work across a variety of channels including:
Digital marketing campaigns
Retail and shopper marketing assets
Product launch materials
Amazon and PDP assets
Social media creative
Ensure brand consistency across all digital and print platforms while continuing to evolve the visual identity of the brand.
Support photoshoots and content creation by providing creative input and art direction where required.
Translate marketing and business objectives into clear and engaging visual design.
Create assets across a range of formats including digital, print and social platforms.
Maintain a high standard of design quality and attention to detail across all outputs.
Strategic & Cross-Functional Collaboration
Collaborate closely with marketing, brand and product teams to develop creative solutions that support campaign and product launches.
Work with internal teams and external partners such as photographers, videographers and agencies when required.
Lead and contribute to creative brainstorming sessions, bringing ideas forward to help strengthen campaigns and brand storytelling.
Stay aware of trends, competitor activity and emerging creative approaches within the oral care, beauty, wellness and lifestyle sectors.
Support campaign planning and help develop visual approaches for product launches and brand initiatives.
Process & Workflow
Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and priorities are met.
Work within existing design guidelines while helping improve templates and internal assets where appropriate.
Communicate clearly with stakeholders on timelines, revisions and project progress.
Adapt to changing priorities and support the team with urgent creative needs when required.
Contribute to improving design workflows and processes to make collaboration across teams smoother.
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Present creative ideas and design solutions clearly to internal teams.
Work collaboratively with marketing, product and leadership teams to ensure creative output aligns with brand goals.
Provide guidance on visual storytelling and design best practice where appropriate.
Qualifications & Professional Experience
A degree in design or demonstrable experience working in an in-house or agency environment.
Strong skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, Illustrator and Premiere Pro.
Experience working with Figma or similar tools is desirable.
Experience producing design work across both digital and print platforms.
Photography or videography experience is a plus.
A strong portfolio that demonstrates creative thinking and high quality design execution.
