A leading Public Body is seeking a Technical Project Manager to deliver and oversee a range of large and small-scale capital infrastructure projects. This is a key role for an experienced Project Manager looking to manage end-to-end project lifecycles, from design and procurement to delivery and handover. You will be part of a multidisciplinary environment, working closely with internal stakeholders, consultants, and contractors to deliver complex, high-value projects with public impact.

Key Responsibilities
11. Manage the planning, design, procurement, and implementation of capital works projects
12. Lead design teams (architects, engineers, consultants) and coordinate stakeholder input
13. Administer contracts and ensure delivery on time and within budget
14. Support tendering and contractor selection in line with public procurement rules
15. Prepare budgets, project briefs, and technical reports
16. Monitor KPIs and workflow improvements
17. Provide technical advisory support across departments
18. Promote sustainable design and energy efficiency standards
19. Ensure compliance with regulatory and safety obligations
Requirements
20. QQI Level 8 or higher in Architecture, Engineering, or Surveying with full professional membership of:
Engineers Ireland (Chartered or Full Member)
Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland (RIAI)
Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland / Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors
21. At least 7 years' relevant experience in project management, design, construction, or building services within a complex public, infrastructure, or institutional setting
22. Full driving licence and access to own transport
Knowledge & Experience
23. Strong understanding of construction and building regulations
24. Knowledge of public procurement legislation and capital project governance
25. Experience managing design and contractor teams
26. Familiarity with regulatory standards (fire safety, energy, building codes)
27. Skilled in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, SAP, and project management software
28. Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder engagement skills
29. Desirable: Knowledge of LEAN, asset management systems, or complex building maintenance
