Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Engineer within UCD School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering.
The Centre of Micro/Nano Manufacturing Technology (MNMT-Dublin) is established at the University College Dublin (UCD) to deliver high-impact, innovative science and engineering research. The Centre has particular focus on development of innovative medical devices enabled by its featured technologies and machines in high precision manufacturing and metrology. The Centre brings together a multi-disciplinary team of over 20 PhD and Post-doc researchers in micro/nano manufacturing, precision metrology, medical devices, optics, materials, in fundamental and translational research.
This project is collaborated with an Irish Medtech company. The company has developed and patented a portfolio of revolutionary products, which offers a safe, personalized method for topical administration of the patient's own PRP to the skin without the discomfort of injections, a brand new Collagen Related peptide for Platelet activation and a Digital Storage Device (DSD) for safely storing PRP or platelets in room temperature. These innovations underscore their dedication to pioneering advancements that enhance patient outcomes and set new standards in medical technology. Personalized medicine represents a pivotal shift in the future of healthcare. The company is proud to be at the forefront of this transformation, driving advancements that promise significant benefits for patients and the medical community alike.
Salary: € 45,000 - €59,000 per annum.Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
