Job Summary: The Bandsaw Operator is responsible for setting up and operating the machine, choosing and installing blades, and measuring the finished material.
Load, unload, and move materials within or near yard, factory and/or warehouse.
this position is located in Dunleer, however you may be required to travel to our other sites in Co.
Louth Key Responsibilities: Operate horizontal band saws and blade recognition with various materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings provided by the company Design Department; follows written and oral instructions as given.
Read and understand Cut Work Orders, Bundle Cut Sheets, and Cut Sheets and inspect them for accuracy.
Verifies material against job by measurement.
Fill out the Cut Work Order with the correct information when cutting is complete; and Log the sizes and pieces cut into the Production Book.
Daily Health Safety checks with regards to equipment and tool condition i.e. daily inspections of band saw blades to ensure best practice; Check to be sure all equipment and tools are in good condition; Maintain a clean work area; Keep work area organised and free from debris; Operate loading and unloading equipment (fork truck, pallet jack, hand, etc.) in a safe and responsible manner.
Track jobs completed through the work area and staging of material for corresponding jobs.
Other duties as assigned by the Shift Supervisor.
