Role: FS Business Analyst - Payments
Location: Dublin (2–3 days onsite)
Contract: 6+ month day rate
Start: Immediate
We are partnering with a leading consulting organisation to hire two Payments Business Analysts (1x Senior, 1x Mid-Level) to join a high-profile transformation programme within their Technology Consulting practice.
This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale initiatives across payments, fraud, and open banking, with a strong focus on European regulatory compliance (PSD2/Open Banking).
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support business & technical analysis across payments, fraud, and open finance domains
Translate regulatory and business requirements into clear epics, user stories, and functional specs
Define business, data, and control requirements with full traceability for compliance and audit
Collaborate with architecture, security, and engineering teams to design compliant payment solutions and customer journeys
Conduct impact and gap analysis across existing systems and processes
Support delivery and testing teams, ensuring requirements are clearly understood and validated
Ensure smooth transition to BAU, with appropriate controls, monitoring, and documentation in place
Act as a key liaison between business and technical stakeholders
Stay current on European payments regulations, fraud trends, and open banking developments
Key Requirements
Strong experience as a Business Analyst within payments
Deep understanding of European payments landscape and regulations
Proven experience working with PSD2 / Open Banking frameworks
Background in payments processing, fraud prevention, or financial services regulation
Experience working in complex, regulated environments
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
