Our client is a well-regarded, professional services organisation who are seeking a Finance Professional to oversee and support a small team focused on Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions. This is a hybrid role requiring a hands-on professional who can manage daily financial operations, contribute to month-end reporting processes, and drive continuous improvement in financial systems and procedures. Responsibilities Supervise AP and AR operations to ensure transactions are processed accurately and efficiently. Oversee the preparation and reconciliation of monthly journals, including accruals and prepayments. Maintain and enhance financial systems to support operational performance and reporting accuracy. Review ledger entries and ensure alignment with accounting policies and procedures. Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring deadlines and reporting requirements are met. Assist in preparing management accounts for associated entities. Provide key support during external audits through the preparation of schedules, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. Monitor internal financial controls and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and internal standards. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve queries and support interdepartmental coordination. Mentor and guide finance team members, supporting professional development and ensuring high performance. Support the implementation and enhancement of financial systems and workflows. Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and reporting requirements for senior leadership. Key Requirements Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent). Minimum of 3 years experience in a similar finance environment. Solid understanding of financial accounting principles and reporting standards. Previous experience in a team lead or supervisory role. Strong proficiency in Excel and familiarity with major ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, SUN). Excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
