Production Manager A leading manufacturing company in Galway is seeking a Production Manager to oversee daily operations for a range of smart tech products.
This role offers the opportunity to drive performance, quality and continuous improvement within a forward-thinking and innovation focused environment.
You will take responsibility for all day-to-day production activity, ensuring output, quality, efficiency, and safety targets are consistently achieved.
The position requires strong coordination across engineering, operations, R&D, and after-sales teams, particularly as new technologies and products are introduced into manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities Manage daily production operations, ensuring targets for quality, throughput, and efficiency are met Develop and maintain production schedules, aligned with demand and capacity plans Track and report on KPIs including efficiency, downtime, yield, and throughput Champion a strong safety culture and ensure full compliance with HSE standards Support new product introduction through close collaboration with engineering and R&D Lead continuous improvement initiatives, applying Lean, 5S, and structured problem-solving tools Optimise labour, equipment, and materials to maximise productivity Maintain accurate production documentation and administrative records Oversee purchasing of components and consumables in line with production needs Work alongside after-sales teams to support product readiness and performance improvements Skills and Experience Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field Minimum three to five years' experience in a production management or supervisory role Strong leadership and people management ability Demonstrated experience with ERP or MRP systems and production scheduling Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills Effective communication skills with a collaborative approach Ability to perform in a fast paced and innovation driven environment Interested?
