It is also an exciting time to help shape the infrastructure investment needs of the Island of Ireland.The opportunityWe are seeking highly motivated candidates at Executive (Senior Consultant) and Manager levels to join the team to help continue our growth. There are currently opportunities in our Dublin and Cork offices and the roles are predominantly focused on all-island work.Successful applicants will work across a range of economic areas including business case development, economic appraisal, policy evaluation, economic impact assessment, and sectoral analysis and strategy.Roles are full-time permanent positions and are not as part of a training contract. There is no requirement to complete accountancy (ACCA/ACA) or Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) exams, though this can be considered if candidates wish to pursue accreditation.Your Key ResponsibilitiesCandidates at Executive level will be expected to help deliver economic projects while Managers will be expected to lead smaller projects. They will work closely with the existing team and across EY to support our clients.Working Under The Supervision Of Assistant Directors, Directors Or Partners Within EY Parthenon As Well As Other EY Departments In Both Ireland And Internationally On The Following AssignmentsProgressing infrastructure investments through funding approval gatesAppraising the economic value of public investmentsMonetising the socio-economic benefits of projectsReviewing and evaluating policiesAssessing the direct and indirect economic impact of private sector projectsAnalysing the regulatory environment and its impact on economic activitiesTo qualify for the role you must haveA degree in Economics, Finance, Business, Politics, Geography or related subjectMinimum experience of 2 years for Executive and 5 years for ManagerFor Managers we require experience in one or more of the following: business case development (Infrastructure Guidelines, GreenBook or international experience), cost benefit analysis, economic impact assessment, regulatory or policy evaluation.An ability to solve complex problems in a logical and structured mannerExperience of applying economic theory to infrastructure investments, public policy or corporate issuesExcellent written and verbal communication skills, including an ability to explain complex technical issues to a non-technical audienceExcellent inter-personal skills and ability to work effectively and positively within a teamIdeally, you’ll also haveSpecific sectoral knowledge (health, transport, energy, IT, real estate)Interest in identifying new areas of business development and innovative solutions to complex problem solvingPeople ResponsibilitiesDevelop network of contacts (internal & external)Seek regular feedback on individual assignments and regular guidance from counsellorManage own time to budgets and communicate progress against plan to assignment managerIdentifying issues and drawing to attention of Partner/Director and contributing to discussionsWhat Working At EY OffersWe offer a competitive remuneration package.
