**Job Title:** Social Worker Team Leader
The position of Social Worker Team Leader involves leading a team of social workers, managing the day-to-day provision of the social work service in conjunction with the Principal Social Worker. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a defined caseload, particularly cases that require a high level of experience and expertise.
As a Team Leader, you will manage an initial assessment service to relevant care groups, develop referral procedures with other social work networked services, and provide an excellent supervision and focus on developing social worker and managerial strengths as well as continuous training and development sessions.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing the day-to-day provision of the social work service through leading a team of social workers
* Taking responsibility for a defined caseload as required, particularly cases that require a high level of experience and expertise
* Managing/an initial assessment service to relevant/all care groups and to develop referral procedures with other social work networked services
Benefits include:
* Permanent employment contract including sponsorship of a critical skills employment permit if required
* Competitive salary between €70,000 - €81,000, depending on experience
* 35 hour working week

Entry requirements include:
* A recognised qualification as a Social Worker and eligible for registration with CORU
* A minimum of 5 years post graduate experience working as a social worker with some supervisory/management experience
* Experience and an interest in working in children and families services
* Experience and an interest in working in child protection and applying relevant child protection legislation
* A full clean driver's licence
* Police clearance for any country worked in for 6 months or more
* Professional approach to work
* Flexibility in work practice
* Excellent verbal and written English
