Reporting to the Radiology Manager, as a Cath Lab Radiographer you will join a team of health care professionals, delivering high quality care to patients and clients who access angiography services, along with the provision of clinical and provisional support to other team members in the angiography suite.
Key Responsibilities: Perform high-quality imaging procedures in the Cardiac Cath Lab, including diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterisation.
Operate and maintain specialised imaging equipment with precision and care.
Ensure patient safety, comfort, and confidentiality throughout the imaging process.
Collaborate with cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate diagnoses and effective treatment plans.
Supervise and mentor junior radiographers and radiography students as needed.
Adhere to departmental policies, procedures, and regulatory standards The successful candidate will have prior relevant experience in a busy acute or trauma hospital environment, and have a strong interest in interventional radiology and cardiovascular imaging Essential requirements are as follows ; Diploma/Degree of Radiography.
Active CORU registration Minimum 1 year clinical radiography experience in an acute hospital Previous Cardiac Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology experience Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, team-oriented environment.
