Overview
The Irish Defence Forces are recruiting qualified Electricians to join the Naval Service as Direct Entry Electrical Artificers. In this role, you\'ll maintain and repair onboard electrical systems, including power generation, distribution, and automated control systems. Duties also include preventative maintenance, fault diagnosis, and participation in emergency response operations.

Qualifications and Requirements
* Citizenship: Irish citizen or EU citizen
* Character & Fitness: Must meet medical, physical, and security clearance standards
* Age: 18–39 years on date of application
* Qualifications (or national equivalent):
o HETAC Level 7 in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Applied Physics & Instrumentation, or Marine Electrotechnology
o QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate Craft in Electrical, Electrical Instrumentation, or Instrumentation

* Basic salary: €49,543 with annual increments
* Naval Service Allowance: €20,570 (tax-free)
