Head of Marketing & Communications
Full-time | Hybrid (Dublin based preferred)
Join us at Lios – creators of a breakthrough material transforming noise reduction. We’re building a quieter, greener future by rethinking how sound is managed across industries. Backed by over a decade of acoustic research, our team is scaling a sustainable material with real world impact — from aerospace to home appliances. We’re expanding our team as we go to market. If you’re curious, driven, and excited by science with purpose, we’d love to hear from you.
We’re looking for a Head of Communications & Marketing to shape how the world sees, understands, and engages with Lios as we launch our breakthrough noise reduction material tackling some of the world’s loudest problems.
You’ll lead the development and delivery of our communications and marketing strategy, helping define our voice across industries and audiences. From crisp B2B decks to compelling videos and global events, you’ll bring consistency, creativity, and clarity to everything we put out into the world — and make sure it lands with the right people.
What you’ll do:
Strategy & Leadership
* Develop and lead Lios’ communications and marketing strategy, aligned to our commercial goals
* Set and manage budgets for marketing, events, and content production
* Build clear messaging frameworks and positioning for different sectors and stages of engagement
* Work closely with leadership and commercial teams to unify internal and external comms
Content & Brand Execution
* Create high quality decks, one pagers, case studies, and videos
* Plan and oversee content calendars across digital, web, email, and social
* Ensure consistent tone, design, and storytelling across all materials
* Help evolve and safeguard the Lios brand as we grow
B2B & Digital Marketing
* Plan and implement targeted campaigns to engage decision makers in relevant sectors (e.g. automotive, aerospace, construction)
* Manage and evolve our website, LinkedIn, and email campaigns to generate interest and leads
* Use analytics and feedback to refine strategies and messaging
Project Management
* Coordinate timelines, workflows, and logistics for content delivery and campaign execution
* Support internal communication and documentation clarity as the team grows
What you bring:
We’re open to a range of profiles for this senior role — here are some indicators that you’ll thrive:
* Proven experience in a B2B marketing, communications, or brand leadership role
* Exceptional writing, storytelling, and editing skills, particularly for technical and investor audiences
* Strong experience producing content (written, visual, and video)
* Experience creating materials for manufacturing, composites, or advanced materials sectors is a strong plus
* Proficiency across Google Workspace, Microsoft, Adobe Creative Suite (or similar design tools)
* Comfortable developing and executing marketing plans — and tracking their impact
* A sharp eye for design and detail
* Confident managing budgets, timelines, and workflows across teams or partners
* Collaborative, curious, and motivated by the opportunity to scale something meaningful
At Lios, we believe people do their best work when they feel supported, trusted, and inspired. Here’s what you can expect when you join us:
* Flexible hours and hybrid working — remote work supported outside of lab-based roles
* 25 days annual leave (pro-rata) + public holidays
* Competitive salary, with equity options for key hires
* Enhanced maternity and paternity leave benefit
* Enhanced leave and support for parents
* Comfortable, relaxed office in the heart of Dublin city centre
* Bike to Work Scheme and Travel Saver programme
* Opportunities to shape how we grow — we’re a small team where every voice counts
