Maintenance & Projects Manager – Rathcoole
This role is responsible for maintenance, engineering, and project management within the Greenogue Packaging division and potentially the wider Greenogue site operations. The successful candidate will support facility and production needs through effective maintenance programs and engineering functions, ensuring safety, quality, cost, and supply standards are met. They will oversee the delivery of maintenance and CAPEX development projects, including feasibility, design, HAZOP, scheduling, installation, commissioning, and contractor management to ensure efficient project execution.
Note: The successful candidate will be required to complete a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol testing, as part of the recruitment process.
Key Responsibilities
Health and Safety
* Foster a safety-first culture across the site through proactive communication and leadership.
* Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards and regulations. Regularly review and update SOPs with stakeholders.
* Report concerns, near misses, or incidents immediately and take appropriate action.
* Collaborate with the HSE officer on safety initiatives, checks, and inspections.
Facility and Production
* Ensure safe and efficient plant operation, meeting performance targets.
* Develop and implement a preventative maintenance schedule to minimize downtime.
* Manage daily maintenance operations, scheduling work to meet production needs with minimal disruption.
* Proactively improve facilities and reduce breakdown incidents through strategic maintenance planning.
* Oversee third-party contractors, ensuring cost control and safety standards.
* Manage site facilities and participate in continuous improvement and engineering projects.
* Maintain critical parts and consumables stock, ordering as needed.
* Coordinate site tasks based on priorities, ensuring HSE guidelines are followed.
People Management
* Promote a positive culture of responsibility and continuous improvement among employees.
* Provide operator training and ensure training records are current.
Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise
* Experience in project management.
* Engineering proficiency, preferably with an engineering qualification or equivalent.
