Supermarket Assistant Manager – Dublin – New Store Opening
Excel Recruitment is thrilled to be recruiting a Supermarket Assistant Manager for our client's brand-new store opening in west Dublin.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic retail professional to join a dynamic and growing supermarket group at an exciting stage of expansion.
Salary: €45k – €50k
Responsibilities:
1. Support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of the new store, ensuring smooth operations and high standards from day one
2. Help lead the store team to deliver exceptional customer service and consistent in-store excellence
3. Contribute to achieving sales, margin, and performance targets across all departments
4. Assist in the recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members for the opening
5. Implement and maintain high standards in merchandising, cleanliness, stock control, and health & safety
6. Handle cash management, shift planning, and problem-solving as needed
7. Deliver strong communication and foster a positive, motivated team environment
8. Take ownership in the absence of the Store Manager and help lead the team through the store's successful launch and ongoing growth
Requirements:
9. Previous experience in a supermarket or convenience retail management role
10. Strong leadership, organisational, and communication skills
11. A hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to motivate and develop a new team
12. Commercially aware with a focus on delivering KPIs and customer satisfaction
13. Passion for retail and excited to be part of a new store opening
14. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends, during the store setup and launch phase
