Payment Product Risk Manager - C14 at Citi
Overview: Citi is the market leading payment services provider to corporate, public sector and financial institutions clients, with an unmatched global footprint and reach. The Payments Risk team, part of Services Risk Management, is the 2LOD function responsible for managing risks across all payment offerings, in partnership with other risk teams. The Payments Product Risk Manager is an SME role reporting to the Global Payments Risk Head, covering assigned Payment Products globally and in the EMEA region, including Clearing risk management across all Services Products.
What You Will Be Doing
* Becoming a key 2nd line challenger for the assigned Payment products, bringing product and risk subject matter expertise
* Providing risk input at preliminary business discussions on new initiatives (BRR) and formal input for New Approval Committee reviews
* Leading product and issue deep dives when required
* Timely monitoring, reporting and escalation for Payment Risk Management activities in the assigned product set, including regulatory requirements and interactions with OCC, Fed, ECB, PRA and FCA
* Providing daily challenge and approvals to intraday clearing excesses across all clearing lines in the assigned portfolio and geography
* Leveraging rating/classification downgrades and clearing usage monitoring processes to stay aligned with the bank\'s credit view of obligors; participating in quarterly portfolio/product reviews and Clearing limit rightsizing reviews
* Reviewing client contracts and documentation and challenging those that may put the Business or Citi at risk in collaboration with product Legal Partners
What We Need From You
* Well versed in the varied product offerings in Payments and the associated systems and operational processes; hands-on product experience is a significant advantage
* Solid understanding of credit and operational risk; ideally with a credit risk officer (CO) designation
* Ability to understand and navigate interactions across Citi functions such as Technology, Operations, and Finance to holistically challenge product risks
* Superior oral and written communication skills with strong critical and analytical thinking
* Self-starter capable of working independently and across teams and geographies to meet goals
* Bachelor\'s Degree or equivalent work experience
* Must be able to work at designated Citi location 3 days per week
