AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support data centers, servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continuous access to cloud services. You will be part of a diverse team of engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, and operations managers. Your role will involve collaborating across AWS to maintain high standards for safety, security, and cost-efficiency, while fostering an inclusive culture that encourages innovation and ownership.
We are seeking a Water Treatment Systems Engineer with expertise in water chemistry, quality, sustainability, and data center design. Your responsibilities will include influencing water chemistry and treatment processes, coordinating with design, construction, operations, and maintenance teams across our global data center fleet. You will define, design, and document water treatment features, ensuring they meet safety and quality standards, and contribute to the continual improvement of our water system design standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Performing and overseeing water supply analysis and design, coordinating with utilities and internal teams.
2. Preparing detailed designs for water treatment and sustainability systems.
3. Ensuring compliance with codes and standards, reviewing designs, and working with authorities for approvals.
4. Providing high-quality water treatment advice on global projects.
5. Collaborating with construction, commissioning, and risk management teams to address RFI and value engineering queries.
6. Leading efforts to improve design standards and coordinate with third-party vendors.
This role requires up to 25% travel.
Qualifications include a relevant engineering degree, 10+ years of experience in water treatment or related fields, knowledge of codes and standards, and certification as a Water Quality Association Treatment Designer. Experience with data center construction, technical documentation, and design review is also preferred.
