About the Role:
Reporting to the Principal Officer, the Technical Adviser will have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects and with a wide range of stakeholders across all sectors in the public service, including central government, local government, health, defence and education.
They will play a vital role within the unit by supporting the advancement of the next phase of the CWMF by reviewing and revising the forms of contract for consultants and contractors in line with the recent reform initiatives. They will also carry out ongoing Business as Usual (BAU) functions by preparing responses to Parliamentary Questions and representations to the Minister on issues related to the Unit.
About You:
Essential Candidates must on or before Thursday, 16th October 2025:
1. Be a person named on, or eligible for inclusion (i.e. all examinations have been completed) in one of the following registers:
a) The Register of Architects maintained by the Royal Institute of the Architects of Ireland (RIAI) established pursuant to Part 3 (Section 14) of the Building Control Act, 2007.
OR
b) The Register of Quantity Surveyors maintained pursuant to Part 4 (Registration of Quantity Surveyors) of the Building Control Act, 2007.
OR
c) The Register of Chartered Engineers maintained by Engineers Ireland established pursuant to Section 7 of the Institution of Civil Engineer's in Ireland (Charter Amendment) Act, 1969.
