Applications are invited for a lectureship/assistant professorship in Law and Technology at UCD Sutherland School of Law.
UCD Sutherland School of Law is a European Law School in Ireland with an international outlook.
Established in ****, it is consistently ranked in the top ******* Law Schools in the world in the QS Rankings by Subject.
The School currently offers 11 undergraduate and 11 postgraduate programmes, along with diplomas in specialised areas of law and criminology.
The School's academic body currently comprises 40 permanent faculty members, over 60 adjunct, occasional and visiting faculty, and 7 research fellows and postdoctoral researchers.
The interdisciplinary character of the School is reflected in the four UCD research centres it hosts: the Centre for Constitutional Studies; the Centre for Human Rights; the Dublin European Institute; and the Institute of Criminology and Criminal Justice.
The School is also home to six European Research Council (ERC) projects and has a thriving PhD community.
The School wishes to appoint a Lecturer / Assistant Professor in Law and Technology who will develop this area of the law and engage in research, teaching and academic administration within the School of Law.
This will include the development and delivery of modules at undergraduate and graduate levels, the supervision of graduate students and the generation of publications in leading international peer reviewed journals and with leading academic presses in line with the academic mission of the School.
The appointee will seek to engage with scholars across UCD.
They will report to the Head of School who is also the Dean of Law.
