**Reporting to the **Head of EHS IE & UK,** the **EHS Manager** will be responsible for providing immediate supervision to a group of employees for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of Environmental Health & Safety programs in offices and manufacturing sites to ensure that the required company and government standards and regulations are met.
* Manage, through subordinate supervisors, the coordination of Environmental Health & Safety (EH&S) programs in offices, manufacturing sites, and plants with control results in terms of costs, methods, and employees* Develop and administer budgets, schedules, and performance requirements* Conduct meetings involving environmental safety, training, and awareness programs* Oversee management of contractors working at Anord Mardix locations by reviewing documentation and approving PTWs* Provide employees with directions according to established policies and management guidance and act as an advisor to unit, or sub-units and get involved as required to meet schedules or resolve problems* Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organisation(s).
* Interact frequently with subordinate supervisors, customers, and/or functional peer group managers* Conduct presentations of technical information concerning specific projects/schedules, etc.
* Manage budget and schedule for moderately complex EH&S activities, including costs of contract labor, equipment, and materials* Oversee the implementation of H+S specific training for all employees* Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce* Minimum Level 7 EHS Management qualification or equivalent experience in EH&S and knowledge of related regulations, codes, and guidelines* Minimum of 5 years of related experience* Thorough knowledge of ISO: ***** and ISO: ***** standards* Strong people management skills with experience in a similar EHS management role within a manufacturing business is essential* Member of IOSH or NEBOSH* Ability to advise on EHS issues and lead day-to-day site EHS activities.
