Commercial Manager – M&EDescriptionCommercial Manager – M&EDesigner Group is experiencing sustained growth and is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Department as part of a major expansion phase.This is a senior role offering real influence across live projects, teams, and commercial strategy, within a leading international mechanical & electrical contractor delivering complex, high-value engineering projects.The RoleYou will provide commercial leadership across multiple projects, managing and developing a team of Quantity Surveyors while ensuring robust cost control, risk management, cash flow, and commercial governance.Working closely with Contracts Managers, the Commercial Director, clients, and the wider supply chain, you will play a key role in maximising project value and protecting commercial outcomes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and develop a high-performing commercial / QS teamOwn commercial cost control, forecasting, reporting, and cash flowManage subcontractor procurement, valuations, and final accountsOversee variations, risk management, and commercial change controlSupport contract strategy, tender risk analysis, and claims managementBuild strong client and PQS relationships to support successful deliveryRequirementsDegree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline10+ years’ experience in a senior commercial role within M&E or engineering contractingStrong leadership and stakeholder management capabilityCommercially astute, detail-focused, and confident operating at senior level
