Position Summary
Applications are invited for a permanent post of Chief Technical Officer I within the School of Architecture, Planning and Environmental Policy.
The CTO will provide expert guidance, technical support, and strategic direction to support the school's academic and research missions. Responsibilities include leading, developing, and managing the school's technical resources, workshops, laboratories, fieldwork, and digital facilities.
The successful candidate will offer technical leadership to staff and students, supporting teaching, research, and practice in Architecture, Planning, Landscape Architecture, and Environmental Policy. A safe and innovative environment will be fostered through close collaboration with faculty, staff, and students.
Required Expertise
The role requires a deep understanding of materials, fabrication methods, digital technologies, and environmental sensing systems. The ideal candidate will also be able to nurture an inclusive environment that supports creative exploration and rigorous research.
Salary
€72,816 - €82,274 per annum, on scale and in accordance with Department of Finance guidelines.
