Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled professional to join our Research and Development team as a Senior Researcher. The purpose of this role is to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams in the design, development, and launch of innovative medical devices. Reporting directly to the Team Lead, Research and Development or Manager, Research and Development, you will be responsible for leading technical development projects, managing project teams, and driving project tasks to ensure timely completion of milestones and business metrics.
Responsibilities:
* Design, develop, and prototype new medical devices, ensuring they meet clinical and design requirements.
* Analyze product and project risks, and implement effective risk management strategies.
* Develop prototypes that meet the needs of clinicians and Strategic Business Units.
* Research new therapies and design solutions to enhance our existing product portfolio.
* Introduce new equipment, materials, and technologies to improve productivity and efficiency.
* Generate Design History File documentation and support regulatory submissions.
* Collaborate with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), physicians, and product managers to develop innovative medical devices.
* Lead technical development of projects, making key design decisions to ensure quality selection.
* Manage project teams, drive project tasks, and ensure timely completion of project milestones and business metrics.
* Foster innovation and creativity within the team, and perform disclosure reviews.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Our ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 5 years' relevant experience in Product Development projects within Medical Device or regulated industries. Proven project/technical experience, project management methodology, and skills in working closely with project managers are essential. Additionally, knowledge of medical device quality standards, ISO***, FDA practices, EUMDR, GMP, and similar regulated industry standards is required.
